Chancellor Karl Nehammer (ÖVP), currently attending the NATO summit in Madrid, will meet this afternoon with Kiev mayor Vitali Klitschko – the real one and in person, as confirmed in the chancellor’s office. As is well known, a ‘false Klitschko’ has recently fooled European politicians, not least the mayor of Vienna.
Nehammer (ÖVP) had already emphasized the importance of good cooperation between the EU and the NATO defense alliance in the run-up to his trip to Madrid. “NATO-EU cooperation is an important part of the European Union’s defense and security policy.”
Planned talks with Erdogan
In addition to Klitsche, the chancellor also wants to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan – the FPÖ has already sharply criticized the trip.
