In just four days, an 8-year-old girl fell twice from a first-floor window of a residential building in Mittertreffling, Upper Austria. The first time she was caught by a passerby, this time she hit the ground.
In the first incident on June 26, she could be caught by a witness. Wednesday at 1.30 pm she was less lucky. The girl climbed onto the windowsill and a moment later fell onto the meadow and a hedge in front of it. At that time, the roller blind was open about 30 centimeters.
Shortly after, the 34-year-old mother ran out of the house, carried her daughter back into the house and alerted rescue services.
Injuries of an unspecified degree
The 8-year-old suffered non-life-threatening injuries. She received first aid from the emergency physician and was admitted to Kepler University Hospital.
