Even after its party conference, the SPD is not gaining momentum and continues to lose favor with voters. According to a recent survey, only 15 percent of Germans would currently vote for the Social Democrats.
As “Bild” reported on Tuesday, citing the INSA Institute’s opinion trend, the predicted 15 percent is even half a percentage point below the value of the previous week.
The AfD wins again
Alliance90/The Greens also lost half a point to 13 percent. The CDU/CSU (31 percent), FDP (four percent) and BSW (6.5 percent) maintain their values from the previous week. The AfD, on the other hand, made further gains, increasing its popularity by half a point to 22 percent.
The CDU/CSU can hardly take away the victory
According to INSA boss Hermann Binkert, the victory of the CDU/CSU in the federal elections can hardly be taken away: “The Union remains by far the strongest force. She will most likely lead the next federal government. It is unclear whether she needs one or two partners for this.”
