Last November the five presidents of the Territorial Councils: Iñigo Ansola (Bizkai Buru Batzar), María Eugenia Arrizabalaga (Gipuzko Buru Batzar), Jone Berriozabal (Araba Buru Batzar), Unai Hualde (Napar Buru Batzar) and Peio Etxeleku (Ipar Buru Batzar), with only the last two repeating in their positions.
These five territorial presidents will join the EBB President and the eight burukides elected during the internal process to form a National Executive of 14 members.
The first round of the EBB renewal process will take place between January 20 and February 2. The militants must present in their batzokis a candidate for the presidency, and six more for the burukid positions. Candidates who receive the support of at least three municipal organizations will proceed to the second round, which will take place from February 10 to 26. In this second phase, the EBB president and eight burukides will be elected.
The Territorial Assemblies They take place between February 27 and March 26. In it, the representatives of each municipal organization will, by compulsory vote, propose those appointed in the second round. In the same way, the representatives of each Territorial Assembly must vote, also with a compelling vote, in the National Assembly, which will be held within the framework of the General Assembly, for those designated in their respective Territory.
The IX General Meeting of the PNVto be held on March 29 and 30, will proclaim the new members of the EBB and approve the new papers that will determine the party’s actions for the coming years.
