Impressive images – This crazy Hamas show gives us a dark idea

Date:

What did this war actually achieve? This painful question arises after the images of armed Hamas fighters in the Gaza Strip. The terrorists’ big propaganda show since the ceasefire has confronted the world public with bitter realities. A classification.

Hamas is alive. In the enclave you still see the ugly face of the Islamists. This has become clear since the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip came into effect on Sunday.

Green headbands, balaclavas, machine guns everywhere you look. The Hamas terrorists have returned to their uniforms. They emerged from hospitals, tent camps and destroyed residential buildings, accompanied by the cheers of many citizens. The message behind it is clear: look, the Gaza Strip is ours!

Hamas’s big propaganda show
As the terrorists emerged from the shadows, it also became clear that some troops from the elite Nukhba unit had survived. They were featured in propaganda images distributed by Palestinian media. The unit played a key role in the October 7 attack. Middle East analyst Joe Truzman pointed this out (see tweet below).

The transfer of hostages to the Red Cross in Gaza City turned into a propaganda show. The three Israeli women Emily Damari, Doron Steinbrecher and Romi Gonen had to go through hell again before their release. They were paraded before thousands of spectators and armed Hamas fighters.

As a final humiliation, the women received a gift bag. Included: photos of her captivity including a certificate of her “visit” to the Gaza Strip. They were forced to smile for cameras. Around their necks they wear ribbons with the text ‘Palestine’ in the colors of the Palestinian flag.

When the vehicles were handed over to the Red Cross, crowds of people surrounded them. The tightly packed crowd sang “Allahu Akbar” (God is Great). Representatives of Hamas and the Red Cross could be seen signing documents. The three women then ran from a Hamas vehicle into a Red Cross car. Here superior power would be demonstrated at the expense of three young women. Probably with success.

Of course, no one can currently say with certainty how many combat-ready soldiers Hamas actually has left. The last remnant could have been scraped together for propaganda purposes. But that doesn’t really matter.

The next generation is in the starting blocks
Much more important is who is in the second row. Behind the soldiers. Young men roar, wanting to catch one last glimpse of the enemy. The incredibly brutal actions of the Israeli army under Benjamin Netanyahu and his right-wing extremist government have created a breeding ground that terrorists could never even dream of. Hamas is now more of an idea than an army.

Because it is also clear: the people in the Gaza Strip have suffered enormously from Israel’s bombardment. Much of the civilian population was leaving their makeshift homes at the time of the disgusting display of the Israeli hostages. They are currently on their way to their pulverized homes.

There is no plan for the end of the war. There is no plan for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip. There is no plan for lasting peace. The ceasefire is also on shaky ground; the second and third phases must first be negotiated with the terrorists.

The images from the Gaza Strip are achieving the desired effects in Israel and the world. Netanyahu’s government has pledged to hunt down all Hamas supporters. When terrorists emerge from the rubble and ash in front of cameras, there is naturally a certain tension. The Israeli prime minister is busy keeping his cabinet together. Palestinian and Israeli extremists rub their hands. When no one knows what’s going to happen, they’re especially loud.

Right-wing Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich spoke out on Israeli military radio in favor of conquering the entire Gaza Strip. “We must (…) establish military rule there,” he said. There is no “third force” that can exert control there.

If the war does not continue after the first 33 hostages are exchanged, he plans to blow up the government. While the Gaza Strip now searches for the bodies of relatives, the government in Israel is crumbling. The only thing that hurts extremists is peace. Hamas’s propaganda show makes this impossible.

For a lasting ceasefire, power politicians like Netanyahu would have to give up power and terrorists would have to stop being terrorists. The reality is that new green headbands are being made as we speak.
