The parliamentary spokesperson of EH Bildu, Nerea Kortajaarnaremember that the labor conflicts in education –As of today, twelve days of strike have been declared in public education– No will be resolved “with pride” and in this sense has called on the Basque government to do so take back the mind of the broad and exciting education pact”whose executive power he views as distant.

In an interview for Euskadi Irratia’s ‘Faktoria’ programme, Kortajaarna explained that the current education system has three conditions – the decline in the birth rate, migration flows and digitalization – which require “an in-depth debate”. As he has admitted, this debate is not just limited to working conditions, but must also be taken into account.

In this sense, he has called on Education to “bring the spirit of the education pact to the negotiating table in order to reach good agreements”.

When asked at the first plenary session of the Euskadi Forum for Urban Planning and Housing, EH spokesperson Bildu emphasized that while these forums may be “useful”, they will not solve the housing crisis. “The housing problem will not be solved with marketing or staging,” he added.

Furthermore, remember that the PNV has a “credibility problem” as it “block the launch of the access to housing for citizens“and does not respond to the “efforts made by municipal authorities to make the problem areas known.” In his words: “For example, the deputation led by Eider Mendoza has not yet drawn up the price index.” In this sense, he revealed that in Navarre, at the request of EH Bildu, it is up to the regional government to identify the problem areas, while in the CAV “the whole weight has fallen on the municipal councils.”

The question has therefore been asked what this blockade is about: “It could be the differences between PNV and PSE-EE, although it could also be that the PNV is not interested in the application of the Housing Act being successful, since we everyone knows, no.”

About taxexplained that if the intention is to be a “frivolous reform, the PP is the most suitable, since the current one has also been agreed with them.” On the other hand, he stressed that the nationalist coalition will be ready to talk if there is a “serious and in-depth” debate, following the example of European taxation.
