The Israeli government accused Hamas on Sunday of two violations of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. “Arbel Yehud, a civilian hole whose release was planned for Saturday, was not released and no detailed list of the status of all hostages was provided,” the report said.
Hamas said that Yehud ‘lived and was in good health’. The woman, who has a family bond with Germany, will be released next Saturday.
As reported, four young female soldiers of the Israeli army were released on Saturday. “Daniella, Liri, Naama and Karina – you are heroines! Welcome home! ” wrote the Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog on the X platform. “At the moment, a whole nation is crying with you.”
The release comes as part of a six-week cease-fire-fired agreement that entered into force a week ago on Sunday. A week ago Hamas released three abducted citizens. The agreement stipulates that the Israeli authorities will release fifty Palestinian prisoners from detention centers for every released soldier.
Five civilians were injured
Because Yehud is not yet free, the Israeli government announced that the army would not withdraw from the so-called Netzarim corridor for the time being. This separates the north of the south of the Gaza Strip. According to Israeli media, five civilians were injured who tried to cross the corridor. Medical sources said the army opened fire on a crowd. The Israeli army said it is investigating the reports.
