International voices – Climate protection officers warn of the Renaissance of nuclear energy

Date:

A risky game with unclear rules on our limits give reason to concern! Because more and more countries are returning to nuclear energy. Trump initimus Musk is still feeding it!

In Temelín, the location of the Czech nuclear power plant with two reactors in operation, plans for the construction of a so -driven small modular reactor (SMR) should become a reality. But instead of a technological future vision, the project-speed to Greenpeace boss Alex Egit shows is mainly one thing: return to the well-known problems of nuclear energy with new security risks.

The current environmental impact assessment (RRP) of the project indeed leaves crucial questions unanswered. Global 2000 criticizes that a clear design and information about the number of planned reactors is being drained. Instead, four unfinished designs are mentioned, including the BWRX-300, the approval of which is still being treated in Canada, and the Nuward, the development of which has already been stopped due to cost explosions. Even the performance of the reactor with planned 500 MW exceeds the definition of the International Atomic Energy Agency for SMRS.

Prague claims to rely on nuclear energy to compensate for the exit of coal. However, experts such as Patricia Lorenz von Global 2000 regard this as illusion: “The planning and building times of 15 to 20 years are in stark contradiction with the urban transition from the energy transition.”

However, the uncritical resumption of nuclear energy receives prominent support. Tech billionaire Elon Musk and Afdbaas Alice Weidel praise nuclear energy as a “large” electricity source without the enormous investment costs or the risks due to accidents and natural disasters. Musk’s criticism of the nuclear phase of Germany shows a dangerous transfiguration: a complex problem such as the energy transition requires more than simple answers.

Job news from the boots of Europe
“The plans in Temelín can be a menetcle for the Renaissance of nuclear energy – promising on paper, but expensive, risky and full of unsolved questions. Whether that should really be the future remains extremely doubtful, ”warns WWF Atoma expert Dr. Reinhard Uhrig! Function message also from the boots of Europe: Italy wants to complete a plan until the end of 2027 that makes the use of nuclear energy possible again after it was banned almost 40 years ago. This was confirmed by Minister of Energy Gilberto Pichetto Fratin. “We are absolutely ready to return to nuclear energy.” This is an important decision that will not replace renewable energy sources, but will add!
