Donald Trump has made a “long and very productive” phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin. From now on, Washington wants to work “Eng” with the Kremlin. A mutual meeting was also agreed.
In a contribution to his social social platform, the US president announced that the collaboration would start ‘immediately’ to end the war in Ukraine. Negotiation teams would be available.
Trump will call Ukrainian President Wolodyymyr Senskyj and inform him about the conversation with Putin. The Kremlin confirmed the phone call and announced that Putin invited Trump for Moscow.
The two presidents had agreed a meeting, the Russian news agency Tass reported. “President Putin even used my very strong campaignmotto ‘Common Sense’. We both believe a lot in it,” Trump wrote.
Ukrainian and European officials have commented on the American negotiating position, which excludes the placement of troops to Ukraine or NATO trips from Ukraine. An exact date of the meeting was not communicated.
