Trump stops help – “Ukraine cannot survive”

Date:

With drastic words, US President Donald Trump has rejected criticism of his Ukraine policy. In an interview with the Omroep Fox News, the head of state was asked if he feels good that he had stopped the help for the country and that Ukraine might not survive this. The Republican replied, “Well, she can’t survive.”

At the same time, the 78-year-old emphasized that “always two sides” belong to a conflict. Now you put “in this mess”. Even the criticism that he would be too accommodating for the Kremlin and Russian President Vladimir Putin did not accept Trump: “I think I am very hard with Russia – harder than all others have ever been to Russia.”

Trump’s resistance to Nord Stream 2
Among other things, he mentioned his opposition to the North Stream 2 Natural gas pipeline between Russia and Germany during his first term (2017 to 2021). The underwater pipeline was completed in 2021, but never went into commercial operation. An act of sabotage in September 2022 was destroyed by one of the two strands of Nord Stream 2 over a length of a few hundred meters. The other line has since been closed. The North Stream 1 lines were both badly damaged.

Protest for the White House
During the weekend in Washington DC, demonstrators presented the largest rolled Ukraine flag for the White House in Washington DC and argue for not dropping the Ukraine (see video below).

In recent weeks, Trump has been responsible for Senskyj for the attack war ordered by Kremlin Chief Vladimir Putin and accused him of not wanting to end the war. The US President also called the Ukrainian president a “dictator”. Between the two there was a serious scandal during a meeting in the White House for the world public. Senskyj was adopted with the words: “He should come back when he is ready for peace.”

Senskyj and American Foreign Minister meet in Saudi -Arabia
However, a small movement could come to the case on Tuesday. A meeting of high-ranking delegations of the United States and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia is planned. For the US, Foreign Minister Marco Rubio comes to Riad. President Senskyj will lead the Ukrainian delegation. He picks up his journey to the region that was originally planned for mid -February. At that time, the highest commander of Ukraine was upset about the consultations of senior representatives of the United States and Russia about the conflict in Ukraine in the Saudi Arab Capital, which took place without the participation of Kiev and also without European representatives.
