Several members of the government will be praised again on 2 April. This is necessary because of the shifts of competence in the ministries. The National Council has changed the corresponding Federal Ministry Act.
VICE CHASELIER Andreas Babler, Minister of Social Affairs Korinna Schumann (both Spön), Minister of Education Christoph Wegreich (Neos), Minister of Economy Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer (ÖVP) and three State Secretary must come again. The new federal government was praised on March 3.
For example, Schuhmann is not yet able to act in the working area, because she had adopted the tasks of its predecessor and who do not include the work sector. This area is still a formal part of the economic department. It now receives official work, social affairs, health, care and consumer protection.
Eva-Maria Holzleitner (Spö) takes care of women, science and research, therefore return is only responsible for education. Peter Hanke (Spö) becomes Minister of Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure.
Climate goes to agriculture
Government members of the ÖVP must also go to federal president Alexander van der Bellen on 2 April. Norbert Tettschnig remains Minister of Agriculture, but also receives the areas of climate and environmental protection. It was a separate ministry under the previous government. Hattmannsdorfer becomes the federal Minister of Economic Affairs, Energy and Tourism. His colleague Claudia Plakolm gets the areas of families, youth, EU and integration.
The State Secretary who comes to Hofburg again are Michaela Schmidt (Spö), Elisabeth Zehetner-Piewald (ÖVP) and Ulrike Königsberger-Ludwig (Spö).
