New models – Plakolm is considering sharpening Islam Act

Plakolm is convinced that she will implement the ban: “We do not allow young girls to be suppressed.” Women are mainly veiled in those countries where radical Islam increases.

There is still no fixed model for this, because Plakolm wants to advise himself accordingly with experts: “So that it retains legally, a lead time is also required.” A step model has already been proposed, where a conversation could be with the parents, then with school psychologists, for example before sanctions take place: “It is clear to us that we need action.”

Comeback from the extensive voluntary community service
The responsible minister opened whether the services could also be expanded at an extensive basic service. What should come in any case is the comeback of an extensive voluntary community service. This is especially interesting for boys who want to do an internship and want to pursue a job until the start of the training.

Sanctions in the integration program
This applies to integration as a whole, and therefore the responsible minister also explicitly supports the planned mandatory integration program for the right to asylum and refugees with a high level of residence. You say what you expect and that can also be requested.

“Renew half of the social benefits”
For this there must also be the possibility of sanctions if the program is not completed accordingly: “Otherwise it would be toothless.” Plakolm wants to orientate itself on models in the lower and upper Austria, where half of the social benefits can be canceled: “This lever works.”

For the Minister of Integration, it is “clear” that there is a problem with radicalization in connection with radical Islam. That is why you have to see in detail how Islam Act can be updated: “You have to think very carefully if the status quo does not belong.” Because in practice you can see that there are problems with individual mosques: “You have to put the bar here.”

Nikolaus and Co. continue in schools
She also wanted to promote the holiday culture. One should not be “stranger to your own traditions”. Values ​​such as parts and cohesion, which would be transferred to parties such as the Martin and Thanksgiving Festival, would hopefully be stopped in all religions. That is why she also wants to adhere to the relevant activities in educational institutions that are not visited by Catholic children at all. There will be regulations for this.
