Outrage in London: – Israel refuses to enter 2 Labor MPs

Date:

Israël refused to enter two members of the British Labor Party and thus provoke furiously reactions in London. The British Foreign Minister David Lammy criticized the procedure as “unacceptable, counterproductive and deeply disturbing”. The Israeli authorities had arrested “two British MPs of a parliamentary delegation and refused to come in. Israel accused the two parliamentarians false information.

He had made it clear to “his colleagues in the Israeli government that this is not a way to treat British parliamentarians,” Lammy continued. At the same time, the Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the British government continued to concentrate on returning to ceases -fires in the Gaza Strip and negotiations “to end bloodshed, to free up the hostages and end the conflict in the Gaza Strip”.

MPs Yuan Yang and Abbtisam Mohamed of the Labor Party Regning had flown from London to Israel. There, however, they were refused access and the politicians were deported.

Israel rejects accusations
In a joint statement, Yang and Mohamed said that they were “surprised by the unprecedented approach” of the Israeli authorities. Foreign Minister Lammy emphasized that the British government had contacted the two MPs “to offer our support”.

The Israeli Ministry of the Interior rejected the allegations on Sunday. On the contrary, the information from the MPs that they were part of a parliamentary delegation were “wrong”. “No official position in Israel knew about such a delegation visit.”

“Further surveys have shown that the aim of their visit was to document the procedure of the Israeli security forces and to spread hatred against Israel,” the ministry continued.

Activated debate in Great -Britain
The incident also led to a domestic argument between the government and the opposition in Great Britain. The party leader of the opposition conservative tors, Kemi Badenoch, told the Omroep Sky News on Sunday that she was “very worried about a lot of rhetoric” from Labor MPS about Israel. That is why she was “not surprised” that Yuan Yang and Abitsam Mohamed had been arrested. Lammy replied X that it was “embarrassing” that Badenoch is celebrating another country for the arrest and deportation of two British MPs.

Half -Marart resumed Israel’s huge air strikes on the goals of the radical Islamic Hamas in the Gaza Strip, where a cease -the -fires agreed between the two parties had agreed since January 19. The Israeli army also started a new site in the Palestinian area.

The Hamas and Allied militant Palestinian groups had killed around 1,200 people on 7 October 2023 in their most important attack on Israel and delayed 251 people as hostages in the Gaza Strip. 58 hostages still fall under the violence of the Islamists, 34 of them are already dead, according to the Israeli army.
