Pradales brings Basque parties together to tackle the impact of American rates on the Basque economy

The Lehendakari Imanol Pradales started on Monday with a round of meetings with the parties of the Basque parliamentary arch, with the exception of VOX, with the aim of analyzing the consequences of the new rate policy that is being promoted by the United States and the measures that are confronted by the Basque Government.

The institutional reaction includes a package of initiatives with a value of 2150 million euros aimed at reducing the impact on the Basque industrial and export material. In this context, the parties moved to Lehendakari, their proposals and ratings about the strategy of the regional executive power.

EH Bildu spokesperson, Otxandian Pello, has expressed the decision of his group to be “CO -responsible” in the search for solutions for this new economic threat. However, he warned of “shortcomings” in the proposals of the Basque government, to which he has mentioned a lack of concretion. Moreover, it has been asked that the AIDS are conditioned on the dedication of beneficiaries with quality use and low -carbon, so that the importance of a response is tailored to criteria of social and ecological sustainability.

Van de Pse-Ee, the General Secretary, Eneko Andueza, focused on the need for close coordination between Basque policy and that of the Government of Spain. Andueza has asked the Lehendakari the efforts to synchronize measures with those who are already activated at state level, with the aim of maximizing the effectiveness of the response to American rates and to prevent duplication or overlaps.

For his part, the president of the Basque PP, Javier de Andrés, has shown a constructive attitude and ensured that his formation has a “very favorable” dedication for the implementation of the announced measures. Andrés has positively appreciated the economic gift of the Basque government and has underlined the importance of acting with agility for an uncertain worldwide scenario that can have a direct impact on the Basque export industry.

The Almar parliamentarian, Jon Hernández, has advocated a response based on social justice. In his meeting with the Lehendakari, he defended that the protection of work, both directly and indirectly, must be a priority and has proposed that the necessary means to face this situation come from a larger contribution from those who have the most, instead of resorting to public debts. Hernández is the first to participate in this round of contacts, which marks the beginning of the political dialogue about an international economic challenge.
