Vegans are considered love for animals, environmentally friendly, health -conscious people – despite all the courses, approaches often meet hatred and anger of the broad population. But where does the contempt for the flesh events come from?
“How do you recognize a vegan? He will tell you,” is a well -known joke that tackles the so -called exuberant sense of validity of pure vegetables. The share in the total population has steadily increased in recent years with a view to different rotten meat scandals, the approaching climate crisis and the like, but is still moving in this country in the low percentage with one figures dependent on the survey, it is between 1.4 (marketing agent), three (rollama) or five percent (smart protein project).
Given these manageable crowds, it is all the more amazing that vegans often resist contempt and anger, while at the same time the shelves of the supermarket fill with more and more vegetable alternatives for animal products. How can this discrepancy be explained and why is veganism still influenced by a social stigma?
