On February 24, 2022, Russia attacked Ukraine. Since then, many countries have supported Ukraine to defend themselves – also Austria. In the meantime, a total of several billion euros have been flowed over the EU and direct.

Austria has supported Ukraine with a total of around three billion euros since the start of the Russian aggression war. As a neutral condition, Austria does not participate in military help for Ukraine.

  • 117 million euros for humanitarian aid
  • 12.8 million euros for neighboring countries affected by the war, such as the Republic of Moldova
  • 9.7 million euros for “different support” such as combating corruption
  • 8 million euros for benefits in kind, such as disaster protection

The rest of the AIDS is handled by the EU budget.
