They are not journalists who have questions, but our readers. When we visited the mayor of Vienna Michael Ludwig (Spö), we placed a few. A conversation about integration, security, traffic, life and Ernst Nevrivy.
Mayor of Vienna Michael Ludwig visits the “Krone” newsroom. You don’t really come forward with him. Ludwig is someone who shakes his hand to every employee and talks briefly. The city boss in campaign mode. After all, we get the TV studio. What do you want to know about politicians? That was our call to the readers. “Krone” Baas Michael Pommer makes Michael Ludwig a selection of these questions:
The conversation starts with a video of the Swiss house. A reader says: “I would be interested in knowing how it will continue with the order of all children. Where do they bring the children to? If it continues, we would die more or more than Austrians or as a Viennese.”
If you feel that the Viennese extinction, it is not necessary to do with immigration, but rather asking how many people are born with us. Population growth is mainly driven by immigration. Not only now, but decades. Where the Lord is right, it is that we are required in the school and education system by increasing children in Vienna. That was around 4,500 children from Ukraine in the past school year, and the reunification of the family comes disproportionately strong from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. At the same time, birth -strong volumes are retired, while weaker births. So we have more students, many with support needs, but fewer educational staff. That is why we advertise for the profession and we trust administrative support.
That means their appeal to the Wiener: having more children?
It is a reality, but not just in Vienna. This is quite all cities in Austria and in most European countries that the population is being held by immigration. That is why it is useful to deal with a controlled immigration. While we defend ourselves against an illegal migration movement.
An e -mail was sent to us by Mr. Walter Emmer. He writes you to read it: “In our community complex in the Heinz-Nittel-Hof, Syrians are increasingly being rented, which in no way adheres to our house rules and our Western ethical rules. We Austrians no longer feel comfortable.” What do you say, Mr. Emmer?
I know the residential complex very well. It is a residential complex with a relatively strong fluctuation. Not only now, but many decades. We mention not only compliance with the laws, but also on the house rules. If there are deviations, you should of course not tolerate this, then I can only advise the Lord in question to contact real estate management. There are also sanctions, for example to a delogation.
We have received many messages about this subject. Many write to us: I no longer feel at home in Vienna, especially in districts in which migration is more than 50 percent.
Yes, you have to wonder what the real reason is and what observations are made there. In total you have to see that almost half of the people who are busy in the labor market of Vienna have a migration background. You also have to differentiate. There are many people who help our city to work well. And then there are striking people and you have to meet them with all the legal framework.
Ferdinand Karasek wrote to us: “When will the city of Vienna not spend more money due to voluntarily higher social benefits? Why does Vienna pay more than the other federal states? Of course not the city Vienna, but the taxpayer.”
In Vienna we assume that it makes sense in Vienna to integrate people into the world of work as quickly as possible. This means that a person who receives on needs must also be transferred to minimal security via the AMS. We believe that an important step in integration is to work and we try to integrate people into working life from the first day. But the question of whether Vienna pays volunteers. You only have to see the reports of the Austria statistics. You can see that 805 euros is spent in Vienna per person for minimal security. In the Austrian average it is 802. This is three euros less. There are three federal states that pay more than Vienna, five federal states, less less. I think you should bind the recipients of the minimum certainty of needs even more to the AMS.
A woman wrote to us: “I am 50 years old and often come into contact with women in all age groups. The subject of security affects us women. None of us feels safe as soon as we go on the street alone. Because of the uncontrolled admission of different ethnic groups, mainly men who have no respect for women at all, we no longer dare in Vienna.”
You have to distinguish two things. One is the crime statistics. Fortunately it has improved the past 10 or 20 years. The subjective sense of safety is not always the case. There are many reasons. But if this exists at certain locations, we also take measures. Before I became mayor, I already implemented the ban on alcohol on the pratersern and we then expanded it with a weapon ban. And we recently decided to ban an alcohol on Franz-Jonas-Platz on 7 February and to implement it together with the police. I am in favor of the generally imposing of a weapon ban in the cities, such as in Vienna. And now many mayors have joined such a claim.
We now have a video that we would like to watch. Nicole Fiala: “Do you remember your last stay in the hospital, the positive and the negative aspects and how would you want to change the negatives?”
My last stay in the hospital was not so long ago. That was an operation in the Floridsdorf clinic. It was very good for medical care and nursing care. You will say: the mayor of Vienna is well cared for. Fortunately also all other people. What we have tackled was the fact that we need more nurses. That is why I analyzed years ago, where it is no longer that women and men come in in the profession of nursing and discovered that it is primarily that you will not receive an extra payment during the training period. We then changed this with a Viennese training allowance. And since then we have no problem winning women and men for the healthcare sector.
We have an incredible number of questions about traffic. Klaus Lehner has an interesting idea: “I am my retirement and I live in the 17th district with a parkchicker. My mother is 85 years old, lives in the 14th district, as well as my family with a self. A grandson plays football in a club in a club in a club in a club in a club in the 16th the pickerlion marting as we district like to district Districts can book. Naturally. For example, for the workplace, allocation garden, etc. “What do you think of this idea?
This is certainly an interesting access. You just have to know what should be achieved with parking space management. The starting point was that we had to observe that part of the city is parked more than 100 percent. The parking space management was primarily intended as a steering effect. Now it was possible to create free zones again via the general parking space management in Vienna, where you can design the public space differently. We have been able to move some of the commuters to switch to public transport. This has been achieved to a certain extent. I would like to pass on the idea of the responsible city councilor, who also observes the development.
The next question is about life. And we wrote to renovate a long -term municipal bumper, the Mrs. Gertrude, to renovate the municipal buildings in which my husband and I live for 46 years?
We have 2000 urban residential buildings. Some of them, from the 1930s, but also 50s, have already been renovated twice. I don’t know the system because it wasn’t mentioned. As a rule, however, the big problem is not the big problem in renovating, but we also try to teach the technical basic changes in the base.
Last question by Dipl. Ing. Karl Heinz Rezac: “I live in the 22nd district, I am 74 years old and was always a convinced proponent of the Spö. The current district head Mr. Nevrivy makes it very difficult for me to keep following the Spö. The existing problem?” The suspicion of innocence is of course for the nevrivy.
I have the greatest confidence in the Austrian judiciary, which is investigating this. I am convinced that in the discussion about his allocation he had few opportunities than to intervene in a reconciliation process. In the Vienna value I have the greatest confidence that his statements will be correct and I am convinced that the Austrian judiciary will make a corresponding decision here.
So is an indictment for the exercise of the profession as a politician?
You must assume that it is becoming increasingly common to influence politics through advertisements. That is why you will have to concentrate more on beliefs in the future. Just like the former Minister of Finance.
