The Trump effect liberals create and win voting

Date:

The polling stations are closed in the parliamentary elections in Canada. According to the Canadian television station CBC, the liberals of sitting Prime Minister Mark Carney are clearly paramount. The annexation rooms of US President Donald Trump gave the party a tail wind.

The liberals have won 139 election districts or are in the lead there. The opposition conservatives have been able to protect 107 constituencies so far. One party must win 172 of the 343 seats in the Lower House to form a majority of the government.

The Canadian television channels CTV and CBC have declared the liberal party as the winner in the election campaign. It is still unclear whether Carney can form a majority government or have to work with a smaller party.

Trump avoided the election campaign
The Canadian election campaign was covered by the customs flict that the US President Donald Trump had founded, and Trump’s threats to make Canada the 51st state of the United States.

On Monday, Trump again confirmed his annexation plans for Canada on social media. This has caused a wave of patriotism in Canada. Carney’s Liberal and his predecessor Justin Trudeau, who resigned in January, benefited from this, who fiercely put themselves against the US.

At the time of the transfer of Trudeau to Carney, surveys had predicted a defeat for the liberals in the next elections.

Carney had emphasized in the election campaign that he was best qualified to tackle Trump because of his experience in dealing with economic issues. The chairman of the conservative party, Pierre Piilievre, had mainly solved the concerns of voters about the costs of living, crime and the home crisis.
