Meeting in Lemberg – Meinl -Reisinger travels to Ukraine again

Date:

Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger travels to Ukraine again. Together with other EU Counter colleagues, she accepts an invitation from Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrij Sybiha to Lemberg in West -Eoekraine, which he recently sent during the meeting in Luxembourg.

For the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the meeting has already been the second visit to Ukraine since the performance on 9 May. Only a few days after her commissioning, she traveled to Kiev-a appearance that was seen in Brussels, such as in Vienna as a dedication to an active-pleuropic foreign policy.

At that moment she said, “Ukraine is not only fighting for herself – but also for the overall European order.” Meinl Reisinger said that she did not understand neutrality as a moral distance, but as an order for active peace and security policy.

Ukraine trusts a double diplomatic offensive in May. On May 9, President Wolodyymyr Senskyj from various European heads of state and government invited political discussions in Kiev.

He wants to talk to the SO -Called “Coalition of the Willing” about security guarantees for his country before a possible stop -the fire with Russia. The new German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is expected, among other things. The appointment was deliberately chosen on the Day of the Russian victory parade on the Rode Square in Moscow, with which the Kremlin traditionally reminds us of victory over Nazi Germany. Ukraine wants to prevent this symbolic moment with a visible demonstration of Western support.
