Waiting for Trump – Plan – For Hostages: Israel is expanding attacks in Gaza

After a ceasefire -the nearby almost two months, the Israeli army resumed its attacks in the Gaza Strip on March 18. At the same time, the army has no longer allowed humanitarian assistance to the sealed area, in which about two million people live. The indirect negotiations about renewed ceases – the – fire – transferred by the US, Egypt and Qatar – have not been a breakthrough so far.

Now it is expected that the new plan will only be implemented in the region after the visit of US President Donald Trump next week, the “Times of Israel” reported. During a meeting of the security cabinet around Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, this was unanimous, various Israeli media reported Monday evening, stating civil servants with a high assignment.

Help from deliveries in the Gaza Strip

Humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate
An extension of the attacks will probably further aggravate the precarious humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. Aid organizations speak of catastrophic conditions. The army accuses the Hamas to sell the relief supplies profitably to finance their hunters and weapons.

The ‘Axios’ news portal recently reported that the US and Israel were planning to bring relief supplies past the Gaza Strip using a private American company.

Number of hostages that are still alive in Gaza, unclear
According to Israeli information, there are still 24 hostages and the corpses of 35 kidnapped people in Hamas’s violence. Former hostages report inhumane conditions. Trump recently said that the number of survivors might have been less than previously assumed. On Saturday evening, members of the hostages in Tel Aviv demonstrated again for a cease -the fire.
