The political crisis in Romania is expanding. After Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu resigned, the highest offices in the EU country are currently only managing.
The interim president of Romania, Iliie Bolojan, appointed the Liberal Minister of the Interior Catalin Predoiu on Tuesday after Prime Minister Ciolacu resigned the night before after the debacle of the elections on Sunday. Predoiu will exercise the office for the presidency until after the Runoff election planned for May 18. After the new head of state, the government mandate will then assign the government mandate.
