A serious cancer was found with the American ex -president Joe Biden. He had the diagnosis published on Sunday evening. The health status of the 82-year-old was always a problem and had also greatly influenced the American election campaign.
According to his office, quoted by CNN, FOX News and the “New York Times”, former President Biden suffers from an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer, which has already spread to the bones.
Even during his term of office, the Democrat should have dealt with various speculation about his health status – not least his Republican opponent and now successor Donald Trump has fueled this.
Biden left the office in January. He actually wanted to compete as a candidate for the Democrats in the 2024 presidential elections. There were, however, in the election year, doubts about his physical and mental constitution became louder and louder. After considerable pressure from the ranks of his own party, he retired at the end of July – a few months before the elections.
Biden repeatedly rejected rumors
Biden had recently rejected the claim of a mining during his time in the White House. Reports about a drastic deterioration in his condition in the last year of the office are wrong and were not responsible for any basis, he told ABC News at the beginning of May.
The Democrat admitted that he had not convinced the TV duel against Trump. His appearance in the exchange of success had caused the internal criticism of him. Nevertheless, he emphasized that the decision to get out of the race did not fall for health reasons, but to prevent the Democrats from splitting: “I wanted to give the country about my personal interest.”
