About a quarter of the Germans surveyed believes in a success of the new government coalition. The majority (52 percent), on the other hand, assume that the black-red government has not grown into the challenges of the coming years.
This goes back to a study by the Ipsos Opinion Research Institute among 1000 eligible voters between the ages of 18 and 75. Accordingly, only 26 percent have faith in the government under Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU). Almost every second person (48 percent), on the other hand, is very dissatisfied with Merz’s choice as Chancellor, 14 percent are very satisfied. This difference is “the worst of all cabinet members,” said Ipsos.
Defense Minister Boris Pistorius (SPD) Cut is best off. About four out of ten respondents (41 percent) stated that they were very satisfied with him. A quarter (25 percent) is dissatisfied. The Minister of Defense is the only cabinet member who has a positive difference.
The new Minister of Health Nina knew (CDU) and the new Minister of Development Reem Alabali-Radovan (SPD) received the least approval.
Merz was only chosen in Germany in Germany in Germany at the beginning of May. The new cabinet is of ten men and eight women, CDU and SPD each represent seven ministers, the CSU three. Vice Chancellor is Lars Klingbeil (SPD).
