“Spider Netz” in NATO State ten times drone delivery to Kyiv

Date:

The Ukrainian operation “Spider Netz” apparently also left an impression on Western Ally. Great -Britain now wants to greatly increase its drone deliveries. At the same time, it is discussed how effective the attack actually was.

“Every day we attract education from the fighting in Ukraine to develop British companies to develop advanced new drones that contribute to protecting Ukrainian civilian population and also strengthen our own national security,” said Defense Minister John Healey in a statement.

By the end of the current financial year in April 2026, London claims to deliver 100,000 drones to Ukraine and therefore the number of drones delivered.

The announcement is of particular importance in the light of the “Spider Netz” operation. The Ukrainian secret service SBU succeeded in getting the Russian air defense spectacularly – and was able to hit Russian military airports far into the hinterland.

The small aircraft driven on remote control were therefore hidden on trucks in wooden houses (“small houses”), whose drivers did nothing about the military grounds (see tweet above). There the truck roofs opened automatically and the drones with explosives started their attack.

Russian passers -by -and the drivers apparently tried to close the open hicing places again when it was realized, which was transported here at all. Countless videos of them can be found on social media.

The campaign would have been prepared for a year and a half. The Ukrainian President Wolodyymyr Senskyj celebrated the surprising attack of his secret service SBU as an “absolutely brilliant success”. However, it is not clear what effect the operation actually had.

The new information from the Ukrainian General Staf shows that the Russian armed forces reportedly lost twelve aircraft. Before that, the SBU spoke about at least 41 damage – not destroyed – machines. According to Secret Service, 40 combat and reconnaissance aircraft were hit, including the early warning plane Rijew A-50, Tupolew TU-95, TU-22m and TU-160.

An animation of how the operation could have gone:

The figures cannot be checked, but must be slightly lower than officially stated. However, Ukraine would have a hunting goal. Because in particular an aircraft type is essential for the Russian attack war and at the same time in the short stock.

“If different A50 have been destroyed, this would have a significant effect on the Russian Air Force, especially their sliding bombs.

Sliding bombs are modified explosive devices that are thrown away from aircraft from a safe distance. The SBU estimated the value of the damaged or destroyed bombers at around six billion euros.

A sharp reaction was announced on the Russian side. “Revenge is inevitable,” wrote the Vice chef of the Russian Security Council, Dmitri Medvedev, at Telegram. At the same time, he referred to the active advance of the Russian army. “Everything that needs to be blown up will be blown up in the air, and those who have to be wiped will disappear,” the Russian ex-president continued.
