His political breakdowns and sometimes questionable video appearances recently started with a wave of indignation. Now State Secretary Sepp Schellhorn (NEOS) is pulling the first ripcord and gets his private Instagram account offline …
The Instagram account “Pepssch” of the Pink State Secretary is no longer available since Thursday. He had almost half a million subscribers. He mainly built this big fan base as a restaurant owner in his political free time. There he inspired the users in his Seehof in Goldegg with partially funny and bizarre cooking videos (“Sepp, what are you doing?).
Advertising for medium ensured that VAT flooded
But because he was a member of the government, he spanned the bow several times and is in many public fat goats (keyword service car, Nazi comparison). Recently, the 58-year-old again made the headlines with a video because he advertised for a private medium and his followers called for subscription problems. The wave of indignation grew. Critics accuse him that his appearance and activities can be a burden for the government.
Now his Instagram channel is offline. The reason is the incompatibility directive of the government, ORF Salzburg reported Thursday evening. Schellhorn’s other channels on X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook are still available, but they are not carefully cared for.
Schellhorn: “That is coming back now”
Schellhorn already spoke in this respect. “You are once on the sunny side and on the dark side, and you have to accept that. I have a relatively large level of consciousness through my private, professional life. And that is now coming back,” said the Pink State Secretary of Orf Salzburg.
No dismissal
Despite the constant criticism, Schellhorn is not thinking of a dismissal. “I never thought about it because I concentrate at work.” He emphasized that he assumed that his work in the federal government was recognized and that there was a consensus about his performance.
