The communication -blackout was followed by the bombing: in the middle of the war with Israel, Iran’s internet was largely blocked for two days and the 90 million population of the outside world was demolished.
“Statistics show that the nation has been offline for more than two days, so that family members have no contact and the citizens are poorly informed about the status of the conflict with Israel,” wrote the Netblock organization, known for the observation of internet bans.
Fear of using the networks by Israel’s army
Information only penetrates externally. Millions of Iranians abroad take care of their friends and families. The lock is apparently due to fear of Israeli (cyber) attacks.
The news agency mentioned more on Wednesday from the Ministry of Communication. Accordingly, the limitation was “due to the abuse of the national communication network by the enemy aggressor for military purposes and to jeopardize the life and property of innocent people.”
