First announced, now things are going back to normal: Like many other projects, the crisis protection law planned by the turquoise-green federal government has now been delayed.
Plans are under review to include points in the law that had not yet been considered in light of the developments in the Corona crisis and the war in Ukraine six months ago.
Many points still in motion
The new rules for the crisis were announced on the national holiday last year. At the time, the government announced that a modern, cross-departmental situation center would be built in the Ministry of the Interior at a cost of up to EUR 30 million, which would also provide continuous situation reports. A separate government coordinator should also look after the crisis prevention theme in the Federal Chancellery.
The bunker is said to be in the planning stage, according to the Interior Department. But many other points are still in flux. The goal was actually to pass a resolution on the law in the spring of 2022.
