How well or badly are Upper Austria paid? The answer to a study now shows that ten men collect more than the governor himself. They are in management positions of state associations or very endowed doctors. The “Kroon” has some names, including a conductor.
There are 20,623 euros gross, the upper Austria head of the state of Thomas Stelzer (ÖVP). Calculated until the year, the 288,722 euros. According to the gross net calculator of the Ministry of Finance, 167,088.78 euros remained net net per year after deduction of social security and wage tax and a decent sum for a lot of responsibility.
More than € 380,000 for hospital managers
Where: Stelzer is by no means the top earner among state officials. If you look at the outsourced companies, there are ten men who even earn more than the country leader. This includes Franz Harnoncourt, one of the top managers in the Upper Austrian Health Holding (Oög). His salary: more than 380,000 euros. MP Renate Heitz and club chairman Sabine Engleitner-Neu (both Spö) wanted to know exactly and have a written request to the LH.
In addition to Harnoncourt, there are four other recipients in the Oög and the Kepler University Hospital, who earn more than the € 288,722 gross chef. But whoever remains remains secret. Only so much: “Salaries above those of the governor are possible, for example with special contracts for hospital doctors, where the special medical costs are taken into account here if the employer is guaranteed in the special service contract,” writes the governor in his written answer, dated 25 June.
Bank board and chief conductor have more than the head of the country
In the other national companies, such as Hypo Oö, Theater und Orchester GmbH (Bruckner Orchester Linz) or other public companies such as the Non -Profit State Housing Association Upper Austria – for Short Lawog – there are five men whose salary is higher than that of the Gouverneur. Spö: “We are far from equality”
The two Spö women criticize: “It is important for Governor Stelzer that there are only men among the top earners in the state area. The fact that almost exclusively women in the poorer areas work also shows how far from Austria is still removed from real equality.”
The Spö is of the opinion that if the salaries in energy AG were also announced, the number of top earners would again double over the level of the LH. For reasons of stock legislation, however, the figures remain under lock and key.
