the lehendakari Inigo Urkullu has acknowledged that he listened with “surprise” to the words of Sánchez yesterday in Congress, in which he described as “non-transferable” certain powers pending transfer by the government of Spain, while “listed his own government of cases pending transfer,” he added.
‘One-sided, do you think the Statute has been fulfilled?’ Urkullu asked Sánchez, who admitted yesterday that there was a “certain paralysis” on some transfers collected in the Statute of Guernica, although to some extent he attributed it to some “difficult” requests requested by the administration of Iñigo Urkullu.
Urkullu has indicated that he will await the final resolution of the transfer proposals that Euskadi has sent to the government of Spain to make an assessment of this matter. “Until then, we won’t comment any further, but I’m just asking the President if he unilaterally believes the Statute has been complied with,” he wondered.
Sánchez moved on yesterday during the debate on the state of the nation de difficulty materializing four specific points recently requested by the Basque government. Specifically, these are the applications from Meteorology, Literal Planning and Management, the Fund for the Protection of Cinematography and the initial work permit for foreigners.
According to Sánchez, the competent ministries in these cases have shown their refusal to make these transfers to the Basque Country, although he has claimed the transfers that have taken place.
