Dancers application – Van de Leyen: “Wanting to polarize initiators”

Date:

EU President -President Ursula von der Leyen has pronounced a request for no trust in the EU parliament. The allegations of the initiators “came directly from the oldest manual of the extremists,” said the politician in Strasbourg on Monday.

They wanted to “polarize society”, “to undermine confidence in democracy with false claims about election manipulations” and “rewrite the story”, she went hard with the initiators. The Romanian MP Gheroghe Piperea of the faction of the European Conservatives and Reformers (EKR) had launched the right of no trust. More than 72 MPs have signed the application, which means that coordination in parliament is intended – for Thursday.

The accusations against Von der Leyen include unpublished SMS messages during the Corona Pandemic. She has never made a secret that she also had contact with top representatives of vaccine manufacturers at the time, the EU politician now defended herself. These contacts were not inappropriate and would not have violated the European interest.

Credit program for defense in sight
Another point of criticism from the Leyen is a billion dollar credit program for defense measures it has planned without the participation of parliament. However, this would be involved in the further steps. “I would like to say that I am worried and clear, and I will always be ready to openly speak of our work and to look for common solutions together with pro-European, democratic forces in this house.”

The applicants from the right warehouse itself have no answers to political problems and accused them of the Leyen. Instead, they would heat conspiracies. “Don’t let us play the game of the extremists.”

It is considered certain that the application will not fail on Thursday for no trust. A majority of two thirds would be needed for a success. The two largest factions have already announced that it would be correct.
