Karoline Edtstadler is now also officially praised as the new Governor of Salzburg. Federal President Alexander van der Bellen found many praising words for the former State Secretary of ÖVP and Minister of the State during the ceremony in the Hofburg and continues to hope for good cooperation.
After the official greeting, Van der Bellen quickly switched to the “Du Word” and began to list the most important stations in the life of Edtstadler. “You were a councilor at the age of 23. I don’t even know where I was 23,” emphasized the federal president, the successful path of 44-year-old Salzburg-Vrouw, who will now “lead the country’s fortune”. Salzburg is the only federal state where there is a female double lead with Edtstadler and its deputy Marlene Svazek (FPö), Van der Bellen emphasized.
The head of state also expressed his hope that the “always trusting and good cooperation”, which he will stay with her during her term of office as State Secretary or Minister in this new constellation.
Many construction sites are waiting for Edtstadler
As already reported, a lot of work awaits Edtstadler. The Western state is pretty good. However, there are many construction sites that have so far only been tackled by the black and blue state government. The most important areas are the budget (new debts are expected again this year), care, life and traffic.
