The right wing action identity and democracy (ID) in the European Parliament were resolved a year ago. The office of the European Public Prosecution Service is now investigating because of massive inconsistencies in the last accounts of the faction, which also include the FPö.
According to reports in the media, it is about the alleged embezzlement of EU funds of approximately 4.3 million euros between 2014 and 2019. Former ID General Secretary Philip Claeys rejects the allegations that everything has expired “correctly”, the Belgian emphasizes.
The money comes into research by the weekly newspaper “Die Zeit” and the French daily newspaper “Le Monde” of a household plot from which the parliamentary groups are supposed to pay service providers for their work in parliament. On the other hand, it is said that ‘political friends’ have benefited from the ID group, as ‘Die Zeit’ reported last week. Among them would have been a company that was based on the AfD and the French party of racial emblems nationally (marginal).
Companies with the proximity of the AfD and RN as benefits
A media agency of Fulda, whose owner is a AfD -Local politician, would have received a total of 64,000 euros without other offers being obtained. The AFD Member of the MP Christine Anderson, whose website was designed by the Fulda Company, rejected the allegations, according to the “time”.
According to the media investigation, considerably higher quantities of a total of more than three million euros would have flowed to companies that are close to the French RN. In these cases too, tenders were divided and amounts were also paid without any recognizable consideration. The RN parliamentary group leader in the French National Assembly, Marine Le Pen, was only convicted in March together with various other prominent party members for the darkening of EU funds of 4.5 million euros.
