Midden -Esten meeting in Vienna -Saar: temporarily ceases -furen is “accessible”

Date:

The Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar promised on Thursday a better humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. “There will be more trucks, more access and more routes for humanitarian missions,” he said during a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs Beate Meinl Reisinger (Neos) in Vienna.

Saar was convinced that a temporary cessation -the fire is “accessible”. If this exists, the Israeli government will negotiate a permanent stop -the fire. The Israeli Foreign Minister met on Thursday with his German counterpart Johann Wadephul and his Austrian counterpart Beate Meinl-Reisinger. The three want to meet regularly in the future, initially in Berlin. Meinl Reisinger and Wadephul had recently visited Israel.

On Thursday they stated that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip had to be improved and that it urgently needs a ceasefire. There are currently efforts underway for a cease-fire of 60 days and the release of other Israeli hostages of Hamas’s violence. According to insiders, the Israeli government is willing to agree – but only if Hamas is disarmed. This in turn agreed to release ten hostages.

Withdrawal of the armed forces still unclear
According to reports, an unsolved question is the partial withdrawal of the Israeli soldiers during the ceasefiring. Israeli plans recently caused a sensation for the construction of a warehouse in which 600,000 displaced persons should stay in the south of the Gaza Strip. It must be created during the desired fire brigade break and managed by international partners.

An agreement between Israel and the EU says that humanitarian international law is a basis for cooperation. The European Union and the Israeli government also agreed with more assistance for the Gaza Strip on Thursday.
