US President Donald Trump is “disappointed” by Kremlin -Baas Vladimir Putin and is now pulling the thumbs to Moscow. But there you can see his ultimatum for an agreement about a cease -the fire in Ukraine and the massive arms deliveries via NATO countries.
The Kremlin himself said to analyze the explanations. The purchase of American weapons by NATO countries is not a signal for peace efforts. Such decisions regard the Ukrainian side as a sign of a continuation of the war, said Kremlin spokesperson Dmitri Peskow of the Russian news agency Interfax.
The vice -chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitri Medleedew, rejected the threats as a “theatrical ultimatum” on Tuesday: the leading role in Moscow does not seem to worry about it. “Trump gave the Kremlin a theatrical ultimatum. The world shuddered and expected the consequences,” wrote the Putin Confidante and former head of state as a temporary designation in Putin on the online platform X. “Warrior Europe was disappointed. Russia couldn’t save it.”
“If all that is, Trump wanted to say about Ukraine …”
“If that is all that Trump wanted to say about Ukraine today, the expectations have so far been set too high,” wrote the vice chairman of the Russian Federation Council, Konstantin Kossatschev, on Monday evening in Telegram. He said that Trump’s statement for the conflict in Ukraine would not affect the mood in Russia.
On Monday, the American president announced new arms deliveries on Ukraine. According to Trump, American weapons, for example for air defense, must be paid by European countries. At the same time, he threatened Russia and her trading partners with sanctions and high rates if the leadership in Moscow should not agree to a peace agreement within 50 days. The announcement is considered a change of of course after the failed efforts of Trump to accommodate Russia in the Ukraine War.
Russian Stock Exchange responds with the course increase
The Kremlin had already explained the rumors of new arms supply to Ukraine that there was no big difference in the previous situation, because the United States had always delivered weapons. The Russian stock exchange responded with a price increase after the appearance of Trump in the White House.
