The Secretary General of the PSE-EE, Eneko Andueza, has criticized that “between rights and homeland, between improving people’s lives and discussing the division of powers, nationalists always prefer the latter”. In addition, he emphasized that the central socialist government “has shown the ability to move forward with ideas and determination on a progressive agenda, as evidenced by the debate on the state of the nation.”

Andueza, together with the general secretary of the PSE-EE of Gipuzkoa and deputy deputy general, José Ignacio Asensio, and the institutional secretary of the PSE-EE of Zarautz and deputy mayor, Gloria Vázquez, took part in a political act for the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the Ezkertoki from the town of Gipuzkoan.

The socialist leader appreciates the measures announced by the President of the Central Government, Pedro Sánchez, during the State of the Nation Debate to “ease the effects of the war in Ukraine and protect the working middle class”.

In addition, he applauded “the ability of the government of Spain to” moving forward with determination and ideas on a progressive agendaas evidenced by the debate on the state of the nation”.

On the contrary, he has accused the PP and the nationalist parties of “trying with their resistance and their doubts to put their partisan pretensions first to the public interest”.

Andueza has criticized the fact that, in all the months of the pandemic and after the Russian invasion, aid has been produced “with lingering feet”, or that “they were absent, as happened with the vote against PNV and EH Bildu in the labor reform”.

Likewise, he has emphasized “the impetus given to progressive approaches in times of energy and economic uncertainty” and has defended that “all policies are made to defend the weakest”. As an example of this situation, Andueza has cited the contributions of the socialists in the Basque government, such as “the reform of the RGI promoted by the Deputy Lehendakari, Idoia Mendia”.
