One of these people assaulted the off-duty officer, who had to be treated at a hospital for the injuries he sustained.

Agents of the Ertzain Etxea de Gasteiz began investigations to identify and arrest those involved in the attack, who were eventually arrested and taken to police stations to start the relevant proceedings.
