After two weeks of vacation, Walter Rosenkranz is slowly starting the Hofburg election campaign. He makes his first appearance on the Villach Kirtag.
The Ombudsman, of course, likes to take it easy. After two weeks of vacation, the FPÖ Hofburg candidate is now starting the election campaign. While Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen is busy raising donations and supporters, the Blues are currently working on the campaign tour for September.
Rosencrantz doesn’t want to collect donations anyway. The campaign budget will amount to about three million euros and will be made available by the party. Van der Bellen already has a million euros in his campaign account – the goal is to crack 1.5 million euros.
It starts on Thursday
It’s not until Thursday that Rosenkranz will compete on the Villach Kirtag to get a taste of the election campaign feeling for the first time. Two performances in Upper Austria are scheduled for the weekend. The form for the statement of support is already available online.
The quiet, almost hesitant start to the election campaign surprised political insiders, as Rosencrantz has a lot of catching up to do in terms of fame. “It’s a very quiet start. Apparently the FPÖ is very confident that Rosencrantz can shine in the direction of the ÖVP voters,” said political expert Thomas Hofer.
