Sevilla coach Julen Lopetegui lamented not adding three points against Real Valladolid, after drawing one at Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, in a game where he admitted his team lacked “some composure ” and “make better decisions at specific moments.”
“The goal is always to win. We’ve had chances for more baggage. In the only one they had, they scored and then everything became more complicated. It’s a shame we didn’t get the three points,” said the Sevilla coach after against.
Lopetegui also emphasized that “we must be more successful with those we have” and acknowledged that “everyone” has to “improve and give the best version”.
“When we were superior, we didn’t score. We were eager to make better decisions in the second half”, insisted the Gipuzkoan coach.
Asked about the debut in the Sevilla shirt of the young French central player Tanguy Nianzou, he indicated that this new signing “came two days ago, he is 20 years old, has a bright future”, adding that they hope that “he also remembers”, in addition to highlighting that “he is at a great level in a game that is not easy”.
