Thomas Tuchel, manager of Chelsea, has actually been banned for one game by the English Federation (FA) and will no longer be able to direct his team from the bench in tomorrow’s Premier League game against Leicester at Stamford Bridge.
Tuchel, who was also fined 41,000 euros, and Antonio Conte, manager of Tottenham, were dismissed for their involvement in an incident after the final whistle of the London derby played at Stamford Bridge on August 14 (2-2).
Conte was also fined 18,000 euros by the FA, but only Tuchel will serve the punishment as he was declared “largely guilty” in the brawl after the handshake between the two coaches after the match.
Tuchel was cleared by an independent Commission and, after lodging an appeal, the Appeals Commission has now confirmed the punishment.
