The Venezuelan Yulimar RojasOlympic and world triple jump champion, achieved victory at the meeting of Lausanne (Switzerland) of diamond league by winning with 15.31, in a competition where he made four failures and fell short of his best marks such as the outdoor world record of 15.67.
Yulimar started the competition with a jump of 14.99 meters. Three failures followed and he saved his best jump for fifth, where he reached 15.31 with a -0.2 wind. In the last one, again, null, conserving the first place because the Jamaican Shanieka Ricketts did not exceed 14.64 meters of the second jump.
the ukrainian Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk, who reached 15.02 meters to clinch European gold last week, fell short of those marks and, with 14.31, finished third.
