The gala already won the short cross-country test on Friday.
Ferrand Prevot completed six laps of the circuit designed by the organization in 1h22:08with at least a minute and 35 second margin over Swiss Jolanda Neff and 2:13 over American Haley Batten.
At 30 years old, the cyclist from Reims added his twelfth world medal on a mountain bike. He was also the road cycling champion in 2014 in Ponferrada.
The Spanish Rocío García and Nuria Bosch, two laps back, were never close of the leading group.
