The Turk Toprak Razgatlioglu (Yamaha) was victorious after a battle with the Italians Michael Rubén Rinaldi (Ducati) Y Axel Bassani (Motocorsa Racing)after the British Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki) there was a clash with the Spanish Alvaro Bautista.
On the second lap, Rea ran into Bautista who threw him off the track onto the gravel and forced the Talavera rider to retire. The judges deemed Rea at fault for the crash and he received a long lap penalty which he served on lap 7, rejoining the race in seventh after losing several positions.
Collision allowed Razgatlioglu Y Bassani forward and on Lap 3, Bassani made a move for the lead at Turn 11 and stayed there until Lap 8, when Rinaldi made an incredible double move at Turn 11 to move into third, dropping Bassani. to third place.
Rinaldi tried to break away from Razgatlioglu at the front of the pack but, at Turn 5 on Lap 14, the reigning champion made his move for the race lead. After that, Razgatlioglu was able to pass Rinaldi to win by more than a second ahead of Rinaldi, with Bassani in third place.
A win for the defending Turkish champions means they are just 30 points behind Baptist in the standing of the drivers.
The British Alex Lowes (Kawasaki) was fourth with Rea fifth and also the British Scott Redding (BMW) in sixth position.
