A young woman from Wolfsberg, who was on a moped in Bad St. Leonhard at 3.30 am on Sunday morning, risks severe penalties. Because the 15-year-old, drunk driver ran off the road and fell about six meters over a slope in a parking lot between spruce trees.
According to the police, the youngster was injured to an unknown extent in the accident and was taken to the LKH Wolfsberg after emergency medical assistance. The girl was found to have drunk 1.1 per thousand alcohol.
Violation of the Youth Protection Act
The young woman from Wolfsberg was not only drunk on her moped, she was also on tour at a time when she should not have been alone. Because the Carinthian Youth Protection Act forbids young people up to the age of 16 to go out without a supervisor between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.
“The young people and their legal guardians are therefore reported to the district authority,” said a police officer.
