A former Russian international called

The Russian Ministry of Defense called former Russian soccer player Diniar Bilialetdínov, who played for Lokomotiv Moscow and Everton, among other teams.

“Diniar really received the notice. He never served in the Army, although he did military training for athletes. That was 19 years ago. That means he took an oath to the flag,” his father said. Rinat in the RIA agency of Novosti.

He also explained that, under current law, men under the age of 35 can be mobilized and his son is 37. Everything is possible,” said Rinat.

Bilialetdínov’s father added that “if this is a general mobilization, then no questions will be asked. But as long as the president maintains that it is partial, then everything must be done according to the law.”

According to the Russian Army, the age limit for the mobilization of privates and sergeants is 50 years, although the priority is now 35 years.

The mobilization, which analysts regard as chaotic and not very transparent, has led thousands of Russians to leave the country for fear of being called up.

His career as a footballer

Bilialetdínov won the Russian league with Lokomotiv in 2004 and was a semi-finalist at Euro 2008 with his country’s national team. Trained at the Moscow club, he played in the first team from 2004 to 2009, the year he moved to Everton until 2012. He then moved to Spartak Moscow (2012-2015), although he was loaned to Anzhi Makhachkala and Torpedo Moscow. His last teams were Rubin Kazan (2015-2017) and Trakai (2017-2018).
