Neymar asked this Thursday to vote for Jair Bolsonaro in the election this Sunday in Brazil. The international ‘canarinho’, former player of Barcelona and now of PSG published a video on Tiktok in which he appears to be smiling, dancing while sitting and singing an urban music song asking for a vote for Bolsonaro.
“Vote, vote and confirm. 22 is Bolsonaro”, say the lyrics, voiced by Neymar, although his voice cannot be heard in the video.

In Brazilian elections, each candidate is assigned a number, which the voter enters into the electronic ballot box, and 22 is the one that identifies the leader of the extreme right.
The video was released on Neymar’s Tiktok account, which has 8 million followers, and also in the social networks of Bolsonaro himself. Bolsonaro is running for re-election and faces former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, the favorite in all polls.
“Re-election, hexa (world champion). Thank you, Neymar. Brazil above all! God above all!” Bolsonaro wrote on Twitter. This Wednesday, Bolsonaro visited the Neymar Institute, run by the Paris Saint-Germain striker, located in the city of Santos.
In the 2018 election, other former soccer players expressed their support for Bolsonaro, like Ronaldinho and Rivaldo, in addition to Senator Romario, who is Bolsonaro’s partner in the Liberal Party and this Sunday will run for re-election.
