Kyrgios did not appear at Tuesday’s hearing after participating in the Japan Openwhich is being argued in Tokyo, although his lawyer insisted in court that his client “prefers to appear in person” at the trial, the source added.
Kyrgios’ lawyer, Michael Kukulies-Smithwas based on his client’s “medical history since 2015, including public disclosures of his mental health problems”, The Sydney Morning Herald said, without elaborating.
