Bautista touched the world title after winning in Portimao

The Spanish Alvaro Bautista (Ducati) He won race 2 at the Portimao circuit, in Portugal, and with three GPs remaining, in Argentina, Indonesia and Australia, he is close to the world title.

Bautista added 448 points, while Turkish Toprak Razgatlioglu (Yamaha)has 392 and the British Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki), 366.

On a theoretically unfavorable circuit for Talavera, the Spanish rider knew how to take advantage of the opportunity and in the second half of the race, when tire wear started to take its toll on his rivals, he attacked and dropped Rea and Razgatlioglu first in the final laps.

The Ducati’s top speed on the straight was put to good use by Bautista who won his twelfth victory and aimed directly for the world title.

Before, in the superpole, victory went Razgatliogluwith Bautista in second place and Rea completing the podium.
