Calle Rovanpera (Toyota Gazoo Racing), only 22 years old, made his world title debut in RallyRacc Catalunya-Costa Dauradawhich ends this Sunday on the roads of the province of Tarragona.
The Finn is the big favorite for victory in the penultimate round of the championship, although the fastest in the ‘shakedown’ on Thursday was the French Sébastien Ogier, who clocked a time of 2:40.1 minutes. After him the Japanese Takamoto Katsuta qualified, also with Toyota GR Yaris and finished second in 2:41.0; and fellow Frenchman Pierre-Louis Loubet (Ford Puma), third with 2:41.3.
Rovanpera (Toyota GR Yaris), finished fourth with 2:41.5, while Dani Sordo (Hyundai i20) got the thirteenth record (2:53.2).

Kalle Rovanpera marked the best time in the first section. The Finn leads Thierry Neuville by 1.2 seconds, Ott Tanak by 1.5 and Sebastien Ogier by 1.6. Dani Sordo was sixth at 4.5 seconds
