Moussa Sissoko, prosecuted for non-payment of electricity bills

The ex of Watford and Tottenham Moussa Sissok was “being prosecuted by his electricity company after failing to pay £61,700 worth of energy bills” (nearly €70,000). ‘The Sun’ said that the 33-year-old player, who recently moved to France to play Nantesran up huge debts on his £3m flat in posh Mayfair.

Yu Energy company is chasing the French international, who is said to be earning £80,000-a-week at Watford, after ruling he was owed £61,700. Sissoko, who played in England from 2013 to 2022 for teams including Newcastle, Tottenham and Watford, and his wife Marylou Sidibe moved earlier this year when he chose to return to his native France.

The company plans to go after him in France, a source told ‘The Sun’: “There is no way he can avoid responsibility.”
