Witnesses wanted – innkeeper bitten by dog in stomach

Date:

On Wednesday, a stray dog bit a woman in the stomach in Gaißau (Vorarlberg). The dog owner disappeared from the scene with her four-legged friend without revealing her details. The employee had to be taken to hospital with the bite wound.

An employee of an inn in Gaißau has no fond memories of this year’s national holiday. The woman was behind the inn on Rheinstraße on Wednesday to get laundry out of a container when suddenly a dog ran up to her and attacked her. The four-legged friend bit the woman in the stomach before rushing back to his “Frauerl”. The dog owner had a second four-legged friend with him, but unlike his colleague, he was on a leash.

The pet owner left the crime scene without providing her details and simply left the injured worker standing. An immediately started search has so far been unsuccessful. The injured woman had to be taken to the hospital in Bregenz.

Police ask to be contacted
Personal description: The owner of the dog is a woman aged 40 to 50 years. She had two dogs with her: a small white, on a leash, and the free-roaming, black-brown, about knee-high.

Any witnesses to the incident, and in particular the dog lover himself, are requested to contact the Höchst Police Inspectorate.
